Tom De Smet has been Head of Collections at the Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision since 2010. He worked with various national and international film projects and organisations, including the Amsterdam based Haghefilm and the Pordenone Silent Film Festival in Italy. Between 2008 and 2010, Tom worked as project manager for film and audio digitisation with the Dutch Images for the Future programme, the largest audiovisual digitisation programme in Europe to date. Currently, he is responsible for the archive- and cataloguing process of all content produced by Dutch Public Broadcasters and other domains of the audiovisual/creative industry in Holland.
