Francesca Schulze studierte „Medien und Information“ an der Hochschule für Angewandte Wissenschaften Hamburg. Seit Januar 2012 arbeitet sie im Team der Projektkoordination der Deutschen Digitalen Bibliothek (DDB) an der Deutschen Nationalbibliothek mit dem Schwerpunkt Metadaten und Metadatenentwicklung. Sie leitet die Arbeitsgruppe Daten, in der Experten aus allen Kultursparten vertreten sind und koordiniert Prozesse zur Aufnahme von Datenbeständen in die DDB und Europeana. Davor hat sie in verschiedenen Medienarchiven und Bibliotheken gearbeitet und im Projekt „European Film Gateway“ am Deutschen Filminstitut – DIF e.V. datenseitige Aktivitäten koordiniert.

Francesca Schulze studied „Media and Information“ at the University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg. Since January 2012 she is working with the project coordination team of the Deutsche Digitale Bibliothek (DDB) / German Digital Library at the Deutsche Nationalbibliothek / German National Library with special focus on metadata and metadata based developments. She leads the Work Group “Data” which brings together metadata experts from archives, museums and libraries as well as monument protection and media institutions. Furthermore, she supports data providers with the submission and ingestion of their data sets into the DDB and their delivery to Europeana. Previously, she worked in various media institutions, for instance as data coordinator at the German Film Institute for the project “European Film Gateway”.
