Wiki Loves Monuments Community

Leila Zia is a Senior Research Scientist at the Wikimedia Foundation. Her research interests include quantifying and addressing the gaps of knowledge in Wikipedia and Wikidata, understanding Wikipedia’s readers, and studying the contributor diversity on Wikimedia projects. She received her PhD from Stanford University in Management Science and Engineering. She has been a Wiki Loves Monuments volunteer since 2015 both at the national (Iran) and international levels where she helps with the organization and coordination of the contest.
